Not only... but also

Rare Pete & Dud scripts unearthed

Previously unseen scripts by Peter Cook and Dudley Moore have been unearthed for a new book.

Publishers Century are to release a definitive collection of sketches the pair wrote together in October.

And that includes transcripts from live shows, including a Royal Variety performance, their obscenity-riddled Derek And Clive LPs as well as scripts from their landmark Sixties show Not Only... But Also.

The material is even more significant as many of the programmes have not been seen since their original broadcast, after TV executives wiped the tapes.

Author William Cook, compiler of a previous compendium of his namesake's work, is editing the new collection, to be titled Goodbye Again.

A spokesman for the publishers said: "Goodbye Again promises to be a revelation, even for Cook and Moore's most informed fans.

"As well as illuminating their work, this book also promises to shed light on their intimate yet turbulent relationship."

The book is currently available to pre-order from Amazon, priced £17.99 . Click here to reserve a copy.
