Non-blonde ambition

Henry signs up BBC3 stars

Lenny Henry has signed up the stars of 3 Non-Blondes to appear in his next BBC1 show.

Jocelyn Jee Esien, Ninia Benjamin and Tameka Empson will all be seen in regular sketches when the show airs in April, Broadcast magazine reports.

The show - probably titled the Lenny Henry Show - promises a topical feel, with the comic performing stand-up, impressions and musical numbers.

Meanwhile, four more episodes of 3 Non Blondes will air on BBC3 in April - the last from the trio.

Jee Esien is working on her own BBC3 talks while Benjamin will front a history show on the digital channel called Gory Greek Gods.
