'Kramer' to hit West End

Richards to star in stage comedy

Seinfeld star Michael Richards is to make his West End debut.

The comic - who played Kramer in the long-running sitcom - will star opposite Drop The Dead Donkey's Stephen Tompkinson in a revival of Arsenic and Old Lace.

Thelma Barlow, who played Mavis in Coronation Street, will also be in the cast at the Strand Theatre.

The play, which tells the story of two little old ladies who poison old men and bury them in their basement , opened on Broadway in 1941.

It first ran at the Stand in 1942, and two years later Frank Capra made it into a Cary Grant movie.

The revival will open on February 25, with previews from the 14th.
