It's Partridge season

BBC2 to rerun his entire output

BBC 2 is to air a season of programmes featuring hapless TV host Alan Partridge in the run-up to his new series.

The Alan Partridge Story, which starts next month, will track the progress of Steve Coogan's creation.

It will start by repeating Chris Morris's news satire The Day Today, in which Partridge was the sports presenter.

This will be followed by both series of his chat show Knowing Me, Knowing You, and I'm Alan Partridge, which showed his fall from fame.

Filming starts on the new series next month, and demand for audience tickets was so high that all six programmes sold out in hours.

The new episodes will be screened in the autumn
