I died out there...

Belushi's last hours

The police report into the drug-induced death of John Belushi has been published on the Internet, to mark its 20th anniversary.

The Smoking Gun has obtained the nine-page report into how the 33-year-old comic was found dead in his room at the Chateau Marmont Hotel, Los Angeles, on March 5, 1982

It includes a detailed post-mortem, which concluded that the Blues Brothers died from "acute toxicology from cocaine and heroin."

The report, in dry official language, tells how he binged on wine and cocaine at the Rock City club in Los Angeles the night before his death, and how pills, powder and herbal drugs were found in his room

It also tells of how his female companion handed over other drug paraphenalia to police. The woman, who is not identified, is most likely Cathy Evelyn Smith, the woman who administered the fatal heroin/cocaine "speedball"

And the report also does not mention that among those who saw Belushi on his last night alive were Robert De Niro and Robin Williams.
