Russell Kane won the Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2010, on his third time of being nominated, having scooped best newcomer in 2006.

His career started in 2004, when he won the Laughing Horse new act competition, and the following year he was nominated for best newcomer in the Chortle awards.

Russell Kane fronts ITV quiz app

Russell Kane and Capital Breakfast DJ Sian Welby are presenting a new quiz app from ITV.

The free-to-play game puts up a £1,000 prize pot daily  – shared across 60 players who get all the questions right. That means a prize of £16.67 each, whole bigger jackpots and special prizes from ITV shows are also up for grabs.

Steve Watling, senior vice president of gaming at ITV Studios said the app ‘offers TV quizzers the chance to experience what it would feel like to be in the studio.’

A player will need to answer six questions every day for the chance to win a cash prize. The faster a player locks in a correct answer, the more prize draw entries they can earn
