Matt Hollins wins 'not so new' comedy title

Competition for acts over 35

Matt Hollins has won the Not So New Comedian Of The Year competition run by London's Museum Of Comedy.

The Leicester-based stand-up said it was the first prize he'd won in a comedy career spanning more than 20 years.

Lulu Popplewell was named runner-up, with Tom Redman coming third.

The competition is open to anyone over 35 who has been performing for five years or more, and not making a living from comedy. 

The other finalists were Seam Anderson, Adam Larter, Alice Frick, Garrie Grubb, Lizzy Lenco, Georgia Thorp, Barry Mathews, Jake Baker and Cy Henty as Bern.
