ITV crowns comedy queen

Cockfield wins talent hunt

Karen Cockfield has won the late-night ITV1 talent hunt Take The Mike.

Her prize £1,000, a trip to the Montreal comedy festival and the chance to be represented by a leading comedy agent.

Teacher Greg Davies won the second prize of £1,000 in vouchers.

The competition, in which up-and-coming comics were given tips in workshops with established acts, will be aired in the spring.

Over 200 people applied to be on the third series of the show, hosted by former Big Breakfast presenter Paul Tonkinson
