Clifford – Original Review

Note: This review is from 2002

Review by Steve Bennett

Instantly likeable and unfailingly cheerful, Clifford is at his playful best when he banters with the audience and makes the most of his situation.

His writing - wryly amusing observational stuff - is always enjoyable, if not always strong as it perhaps ought to be.

Clifford is one of the more reliable fixtures at the top end of the open mic circuit, but still needs that something extra to propel him up a division. Something that, after more than four years on the circuit, will hopefully be coming soon.
