Cameras roll on the second series of The Other One
Filming has started on the second series of BBC One comedy The Other One.
Producers Tiger Aspect have today released the above image of stars Ellie White, Lauren Socha and Christopher Jeffries on their first day on set, on location in Manchester.
The show – which debuted last summer following a 2017 pilot – was created by stand-up Holly Walsh, who writes it with Pippa Brown. Walsh, who also directs, is one of the team behind Motherland, too.
The Other One follows two girls called Catherine Walcott – sisters with very different outlooks who had no idea the other existed until their father dropped dead. And at the end of the first series they discovered they also had a brother called Callum.
Amit Shah, Rebecca Front and Siobhan Finneran also return – while Caroline Quentin will make a guest appearance in the second series.
BBC commissioning editor Ben Caudell said: ‘There’s a wonderful mix of wit and warmth in The Other One, brought to life by a brilliant, vivacious cast, so it’s fantastic it’s coming back. Also, the first series ended on such a cliff-hanger that we had to do a second series just so I can find out what happens next.’
The air date has yet to be announced.
