Comic snaps his arm in ironic accident

Musical comedian Justin Heazlewood has been forced to cancel his live show about a tram route – after breaking his arm on that very route.

Heazlewood had been performing Songs From The 86 Tram at the Melbourne comedy festival in the guise of his alter-ego The Bedroom Philosopher.

He was cyling along the city’s 86 tram route yesterday when he crashed into a car door, coming off his bike and breaking his arm.

Unable to play guitar or keyboard, he has now been forced to cancel the rest of his festival run, which had been due to continue to the weekend.

And the bone he broke? The humerus.
