Tim Robinson to star in HBO comedy pilot
Cult sketch comic Tim Robinson is set to star in a new comedy show about a man investigating a conspiracy.
The Netflix star takes the lead role in The Chair Company, which has been given a half-hour pilot by US broadcaster HBO.
Robinson penned the script with his writing partner Zach Kanin, but details of the plot are scant.
Deadline, which broke the news, gave the description only as: ‘After an embarrassing incident at work, a man (Robinson) finds himself investigating a far-reaching conspiracy.’
Robinson and Kanin met while working together as writers on Saturday Night Live and created Detroiters for Comedy Central and I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson for Netflix.
