Jack Whitehall and Mae Martin tape VR comedy sets

Comics star in Surrounded, recorded at Just For Laughs Montreal

Jack Whitehall and Mae Martin have recorded stand-up sets for a virtual reality comedy showcase.

Surrounded returns for six hour-long episodes for users of Meta Quest VR headsets, with episode one dropping on December 29.

Other comics taking part include Marlon Wayans, Fortune Feimster, Mark Normand, Chris Redd, Dan Soder, Jay Pharoah, Meg Stalter, Felipe Esparza, Rosebud Baker, Sam Morril, Joel Kim Booster, Hannah Berner, Nate Jackson, Brad Williams, Preacher Lawson, Sasheer Zamata, Brian Simpson, Steph Tolev, Annie Lederman, and Che Durena.

The sets were recorded for Meta Horizon Worldsat the For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal this summer.

It follows a special that dropped in September featuring the likes of Nicole Byer, Nikki Glaser, Pete Holmes, Fortune Feimster, Moshe Kasher, Natasha Leggero and Moses Storm.

The performances were staged in the round with the audience surrounding the stage.
