Jay Rayner steps down

Adrian Edmondson is taking over the hit Out To Lunch podcast from Jay Rayner.

The comic will continue the format of interviewing guests at a restaurant of their choosing when the new series  launches on October 3.

Like restaurant critic Rayner, Edmondson is a foodie – having won Celebrity MasterChef and being crowned  'star baker' in The Great Sports Relief Bake Off.

He is currently promoting his new biography Berserker, while It’s Headed Straight Towards Us – the play he co-wrote with Young Ones co-star Nigel Planer, is currently being revived in London.

Over the course of the new series, Edmondson’s guests will include Ed Byrne, Chrissie Hynde, Reece Shearsmith, Bridget Christie, Daisy Haggard and Planer.
