Full Fat Legend will also be his biggest

Greg Davies has announced his first new stand-up show in seven years.

The show, Full Fat Legend, will play 55 dates across UK and Ireland from January next year – also making it his biggest tour yet.

The news comes as he is about to return as the Taskmaster in the 17th series of Alex Horne’s hit show on Thursday. Davies’s other TV credits include  writing and starring in the BBC’s crime-scene comedy The Cleaner; hosting the pop-themed comedy panel show Never Mind the Buzzocks on Sky; writing and starring in Channel 4’s acclaimed comedy series Man Down.

Davies’ last stand-up tour was You Magnificent Beast, which was preceded by The Back of My Mum's Head in 2013 and his breakthrough show Firing Cheeseballs at a Dog, which was nominated for best show in the 2010 Edinburgh comedy awrds.

Tickets for Full Fat Legend – which include dates at The Royal Albert Hall and The OVO Wembley Arena in London as well as multiple dates in cities including Manchester, Dublin, Edinburgh and Liverpool, go on general sale from 10am on Thursday.
