Chris Noth among series 5 guest stars

Chris Noth – best known as Mr Big in Sex And The City –  is among the guest stars lined up to appear in the next series of Catastrophe.

Casting for the fourth series also includes Friends From College star Nat Faxon; Logan Lucky and Phantom Thread actor Brian Gleeson; In Living Color comedian  David Alan Grier and  Julie Hesmondhalgh, who played  Hayley Cropper in Coronation Street for 16 years.

It was previously revealed that former Saturday Night Live cast member Michaela Watkins is set to play the sister of Rob Delaney’s character. His mother was played by Carrie Fisher, so storylines in the next series of the acclaimed  Channel 4 comedy are expected to address her death.

Delaney and his co-star and co-creator Sharon Horgan have just begun filming the six new episodes in Tunbridge Wells. 

Produced by Avalon, series five is due to air later this year, and will also be released on Amazon Prime in the US.
