A TOTAL of 600 Vines created by Glaswegian comic Limmy are to be screened as part of the London Short Film Festival. The cavalcade of six-second internet clips will be followed by a Q&A hosted by Armando Iannucci. Tickets.

RORY BREMNER has announced a new tour – in which he promises to try to make sense of ‘Trump, Boris and Brexit’. The Partly Political show, which kicks off in Cheltenham on February 7, is also set to include guest comedians and politicians. His schedule is here.

AMERICAN comic Chris Gethard, whose credits include  Broad City,Inside Amy Schumer and NBC’s The Office, is bringing his bittersweet comedy show about depression, alcoholism and suicide to London. Career Suicide attracted a slew of critical acclaim at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe (read our review here) and will now be at the Soho Theatre from January 23 to February 4.

A COMEDY writing competition set up in  honour of Reggie Perrin creator David Nobbs is to be launched in the new year, with a £500 prize. Details are here.

COMEDIANS including Jack Dee and Stewart Lee are to take part in a major fundraising gig for free-speech charity English Pen. The You Can't Say That! event, in London’s Union Chapel on February 20, also features Nick Revell, Andy Hamilton, Adam Bloom and Shappi Khorsandi, who said: ‘I'm delighted that, by exercising my own right to free speech, I can help others do so too.’ Tickets
