Joel Dommett faces his fears

For I'm A Celeb... bushtucker challenge

Joel Dommett had to face his fear of heights in I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here last night.

The comic had to climb an intimidating 100ft tower, dipping his hand into boxes filled with cockroaches, mud crabs and green ants as he went, for his first bushtucker trial.

Viewers had voted for the 30-year-old to take the challenge – and after winning the maximum ten meals for his campmate he joked that he felt 'like Sandra Bullock at the end of Gravity'.

After the task, called The Great Ascent, he said: 'I'm so happy, I'm so happy to make everyone proud. Yes, 10 stars to Dommett.

During the climb, he repeatedly reassured himself, saying: 'It's absolute fine Joel, it's absolutely fine. You're just chilling.'

He became nervous when the scaffolding began to sway, but managed set off the final flare with just two seconds to spare.

Here he is taking on the challenge.
