RORY McGrath has been charged with stalking a woman for 14 months. The comedian, 60, is alleged to have sent the woman, who cannot be named, electronic messages, followed her and approached her as well as contacting her husband. McGrath entered a not guilty plea when he appeared in Cambridge magistrates' court this morning and has been bailed to return for trial on January 23.

THE Play That Goes Wrong is transferring to Broadway –  with film-maker r JJ Abrams one of the producers. The director saw the farce in 2014 while in the UK filming Star Wars and said: 'I hadn't laughed that hard, seen something as preposterously absurd or wonderfully hilarious, in ages'. The original West End cast will star in the New York run when it opens at the Lyceum Theatre in April.

THE COSBY Show is returning to American TV, despite its star's numerous legal battles over allegations of sexual assault. The sitcom had recently been dropped by on-demand service Hulu because of the accusations swirling around Bill Cosby, but now Bounce TV, which made the same decision, has announced that it will resume reruns on December 19, citing 'popular demand'.

FRIDAY'S Children In Need broadcast will feature a mini-episode of Would I Lie To You? featuring children alongside Lee Mack, David Mitchell and host Rob Brydon. It has also been announced that Russell Kane will host the final part of the evening from 11.30pm to 1am alongside Marvin and Rochelle Humes.

FILMING has begun on the new BBC comedy series Quacks, about four young medical pioneers of the Victorian era. Stars including Mathew Baynton, Rory Kinnear, Tom Basden and Lydia Leonard have been filming in the historic dockyard at Chatham for the past week. The series was created by James Wood, who co-wrote BBC Two comedy Rev.
