Citizen Khan tour adds 6 more dates

An extra six dates have been added to the Citizen Khan tour.

Creator of the BBC sitcom, Adil Ray, will perform the new theatre dates ahead of the three arena shows already announced.

They are at the Bradford Alhambra on April 25;  Blackburn’s King George’s Hall on April 26; Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham on April 27; Warwick Arts Centre in Coventry on May 2; De Montfort Hall in Leicester on  May 3; and London’s O2 Indigo on  May 4.

It follows the success of the BBC One sitcom. Citizen Khan is one of the most watched comedy shows on British TV, attracting up to 3million overnight views and another 700,000 to a million on iPlayer.

In character, he said: ‘Hello. It’s without question a real honour for the people from some of these average towns and cities to have me come visit. I’m very excited about this tour, especially the prospect of checking in to the nation’s Travelodges. And no, my in laws in Bradford and my cousins in Leicester, Coventry, Blackburn, Nottingham and Leeds you can’t have any free tickets. Get lost.’

The previously announced  arena shows in the tour, entitled They All Know Me, were at Wembley, Manchester and Birmingham on May 5, 6 and 7 respectively.

Tickets for the new dates go on sale at 9am on Monday
