Test episode to be taped next month

Keith Lemon and Paddy McGuinness are piloting a sketch show together.

The ITV primetime fixtures will unite for The Keith and Paddy Show, which also promises celebrity guests.

The pilot is made by Talkback, who also make Lemon’s panel show Celebrity Juice, while its sister company Thames McGuinness’s dating show Take Me Out.

Lemon appeared in the Take Me Out Christmas special and McGuinness, who begins his new stand-up tour, Daddy McGuinness, later this month, regularly co-starred in the first series of The Keith Lemon Sketch Show on ITV2, chiefly in  ‘Keith and Paddy’s Film Bit’, where they spoofed famous movies scenes.

Lemon's creator Leigh Francis tweeted yesterday that the second series was coming ‘proper soon’, having previously tweeted that it would return ‘sort of 4 days into February. Not sure if I"m supposed to say t’ date though’.

The Keith Lemon Sketch Show was ITV2’s highest rated launch in over three years, attracting an average 1.1million viewers per episode.

McGuinness’s regular collaborator, Les Keen, a veteran television writer for both acts, is credited as main writer on the pilot.
