New food/comedy show being piloted

Harry Hill is to offer his surreal take on ubiquitous cookery shows in a new TV pilot.

Harry Hill's Tea Time is thought to be in development for ITV, which previously aired TV Burp and the comic's reboot of Stars In Their Eyes.

It is based around Hill cooking a three-course meal for a celebrity guest, and also promises a host of new characters.

A pilot is being taped in London next week following a couple of try-outs at the capital's Charing Cross Theatre, where guests have include comedian Brian Gittins and former MP Lembit Opik.

Producers say: 'Whether you are an accomplished master chef or hate cooking with a passion you are going to love this off the wall show.'

The pilot is being recorded next Wednesday. See our free tickets page to be in the studio audience.

Hill has also recently returned to the stand-up circuit, performing in small London clubs.
