Phill Jupitus is to join Jason Manford in the British tour of The Producers. The Buzzcocks regular will play Franz, the neo-Nazi writer of Springtime For Hitler, when the tour kicks off in Bromley in March. Also announced in the cast today is former Jerry Springer: The Opera star David Bedella, who plays Roger de Bris, the flamboyant director of the musical.

DYLAN AVILA, the stand-up who sustained multiple skull fractures after being beaten with a baseball bat while hosting a show, will making his stage comeback tomorrow, performing at the Neptune Theater in Seattle. An open-spot comic has been arrested in connection with the attack.

WOODY ALLEN's classic stand-up albums are to be re-released on CD. The Stand-Up Years, contains all three albums he put out in the 1960s – recorded in Chicago in March 1964, Washington DC in April 1965 and San Francisco in August 1968. The tracks had had previously been available on a CD called Standup Comic, but the new release, out on Monday, also includes bonus material, including 25 minutes of interviews with Allen. DEMAND for Michael McIntyre tickets has crashed the website of the Trinity arts centre in in Tunbridge Wells. The venue only put 140 tickets to a tour warm-up gig later this month on sale, but its servers were quickly overloaded.

NETFLIX is to release a new stand-up special from American comedian Iliza Shlesinger, the former winner of NBC’s Last Comic Standing reality show. Freezing Hot will be available from January 23.
