JOHNNY VEGAS and his Ideal co-star Janeane Garofalo have announced dates at the Edinburgh Fringe. Vegas will be talking about his forthcoming autobiography Becoming Johnny Vegas in conversation with writer Frank Cottrell Boyce in the Spiegeltent at the Assembly Rooms on August 11. Tickets. And Larry Sanders and West Wing star Garafalo will be bringing here political comedy to Edinburgh for the first time since 2009, with four dates in the Assembly Rooms from August 20 to 23.

MORE THAN 160 comedians – including Gyles Brandreth, Jim Jefferies and Brendon Burns – have contributed to a new book about ‘secret Edinburgh’ to be sold at the Fringe. The £7.99 book offers a guide to the city’s best places, including bars, restaurants, records stores and tourist destinations, and was compiled by the website Such Small Portions. Co-editor Tim Clark said it was ‘a love letter to Edinburgh, disguised as travel literature’.

MILTON JONES is to release a DVD of his latest tour, On The Road. His show at London’s Bloomsbury Theatre on September 7 will be taped for release on Spirit Entertainment in November. Click here to pre-order

THE return of Ralf Little’s comedy The Cafe to Sky One last night attracted 181,000 viewers – less than half the 400,000 who watched the first series debut in November 2011.

SOME of the guests have been announced for Keith Lemon's updated version of the TV gameshow Through the Keyhole. They include Cilla Black, Jonathan Ross and Eamonn Holmes.
