The new commercial sees the Honey Monster rapping in a similar way to Noel Fielding and Julian Barrett on their TV show – a style they call ‘crimping’.
But the duo had nothing to do with the advert, prompting a string of furious – and often violent and semi-literate – abuse on internet forums.
Among hundreds of comments about the ad – which has the tagline Feed The Fun - on YouTube include:
- ‘feed the fun? i'l feed you petrol and drop a match down you throat you choon nicking yellow hairy bastard. LONG LIVE BOOSH!!’
- ‘Run out of ideas sugar puffs? maybe it's because you occupie a talent vaccum, THE MIGHTY BOOSH RULES!!!!'
- 'GET RID OF THIS BULLSHIT! THIS IS BULLSHIT! Boosh all the way'
- 'SHIT OFF!!! boosh rip off, should be banned argh honey monster you tit box!!!'
- 'That is fucking well bad i hope noel punches that big fat yellow monster in the nuts'
- 'i'm gonna jab him in the gums with my screwdriver!’
