Win a trip to the Magners Glasgow International Comedy Festival

Including first-class rail travel and hotel accommodation

The 2009 Magners Glasgow International Comedy Festival runs from 12-29 March, boasting 370 shows, taking place across 18 days in over 50 venues with stars such as Jimmy Carr, Rob Brydon, Ross Noble, Ardal O’Hanlon, Mark Watson, Jerry Sadowitz and Paul Merton.

Chortle has teamed up with the festival to offer one lucky winner and a friend a weekend at the festival.

You will travel first class with National Express East Coast, who will provide a first class return rail ticket for two on Friday March 27. National Express East Coast trains run direct to Glasgow from Edinburgh, Newcastle, York, Doncaster, Peterborough and London. More details of times and fare deals can be found at nationalexpresseastcoast.com.

Upon arrival, you will check into Premier Inn for two nights in Glasgow’s bustling city centre. You can then relax and check out the festival, before going to see Paul Merton at the Kings Theatre on March 28. You will then travel back first class on the 29th, again with National Express.

The festival is also one of the events on the Homecoming Scotland calendar, a programme of events celebrating all of the contributions Scots have made to the world - running from 25 January 25, Burns Night, to St Andrew’s Day, November 30. For more information please visit homecomingscotland2009.com . From stand up to comedy dramas and films, the festival will be the hottest event on the Homecoming calendar.

The full festival programme is available online at glasgowcomedyfestival.com, and all tickets can be purchased through the Festival Hotline on 0870 013 5464 or online at SECxtra.com..

To stand a chance of winning our trip, just answer the following question by March 9, when the winners will be selected from all the correct answers received. Bulk entrants will be disqualified.
