Mediocre everyman Samuel Green has one week to prove himself worthy of permanent residence in Heaven. After a sequence of run-ins with the bizarre denizens of God’s Kingdom (including his parents, his ex, several of history's most influential writers, a yo-yo addict of an artistic persuasion and an ex-teacher disillusioned with omniscience), as the day of his appeal draws inexorably closer, Sam begins to wonder if eternal bliss is really for him.
