Review by Steve Bennett

Something of an Identikit comedian, Whiting (who is responsible for the network of Mirth Control comedy clubs) lacks his own distinct voice, chosing over-familiar targets and treating them in a similar manner to scores of other stand-ups.

It's not all bad news - his easy, chatty manner endears him to audiences and he sometimes displays a keen wit, although his inconsistent. material also throws out its share of duds.

But its the uninspired and sometimes very dated choice of subject matter - gags about 'my other car's a Porsche' are surely about a decade past their tell-by date - that hinders this enjoyable, if unexceptional, act.
