They're French and they rap.
That's the very basic idea behind Jean-Francoise and Didier, the comic creations of last year's Perrier best newcomers Ben 'n' Arn.
Despite the obvious limitations of such essentially one-dimensional characters, this is still an thoroughly enjoyable hour.
Much of the material is exactly as you would expect lyrics in the most basic Ecoutez Et Repetez style language, a few mad cow jibes and an overamorous seduction scene yet is done with such joi de vivre that it eventually proves irresistible.
Although not essential, anything more than a passing knowledge of French will increase your enjoyment of the show, as many of the best gags come from the mistranslation of lines.
However, this promising duo never fail to entertain with their vivacious hour of wine, women and song. Well, wine and song anyway.
And you will never hear the revolutionary words "Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité" in the same light again.
With the Gallic mannerisms down to a T, there is only one way to describe Ben 'n' Arn's light-hearted serving of cross-Channel entente cordial c'est manifique.
