Billy Connolly puts his groceries through the car wash

Billy Connolly had something of a senior moment – when he drove his pick-up truck through the car wash, forgetting that he still had his groceries in the back.

The comedian’s wife Pamela Stephenson posted a picture of her husband’s soggy shopping, explaining: ‘Oops drove thru car wash with forgotten groceries in the back.’

Her followers were quick to make jokes such as ‘at least the lettuce is washed, ready for lunch’ and ‘surely the leaks were fine?’
