Operation Mincemeat extends for a 19th time
Now booking in the West End to May
Operation Mincemeat has extended its West End run for the 19th time.
Performances will now continue at the Fortune Theatre until at least May 29 – taking the musical into its fifth year in London.
Tickets for the new dates go on general sale on September 25.
The musical is also currently touring the UK, with a North American tour about to begin. The Broadway run has been repeatedly extended, too, and is now booking to February 14.
In February, Operation Mincemeat sold its one millionth ticket – seven years after starting as a low-budget show at the New Diorama Theatre, a small fringe venue in London.
The show tells the true story of a real 1943 British intelligence operation to deceive the Nazis about the Allied invasion of Sicily, using a corpse dressed as a fictional army officer and planted with fake documents.
