Peter Kay adds another charity tour date
In aid of a teenager with a heart condition
Peter Kay is adding an extra date to his tour to raise funds for a teenager who needs heart surgery.
The comedian will play Blackpool Opera House in aid of the All In For Fin campaign, which is trying to secure money for Fin Cormack's treatment.
The 19-year-old is from Prenton on the Wirral, and is trying to raise around £250,000 for surgery for Ebstein's anomaly, a condition he was born with – and which required open-heart surgery when he was just 11 days old.
Kay said: ‘I saw a news report about the situation with Fin and his family, and I felt as if I had to do something to try to help them raise the funds. I hope people will support this really important event to help Fin receive the vital surgery he needs.’
Fin’s mother Clare said: ‘We were bowled over when Peter called and told us that he wanted to support Fin! What an amazing guy that he's taken the time to do this - it's completely unreal. We are still pinching ourselves.’
The gig will be at 1pm on Sunday September 27. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday.
