Jack Whitehall to tape a Christmas TV special

With his dad Michael

Jack Whitehall and his father Michael are to host a Christmas variety special at the London Palladium.

The one-off will feature celebrity guests and a musical performance, and will be recorded in the West End later this month.

The Jack Whitehall Christmas Special is reportedly being made for Netflix, which has just released the third series of the duo's Travels With My Father. The new season was filmed as they toured the US.

Whitehall previously made a good impression as a talk-show host when he stepped into The Graham Norton Show in May, while the usual presenter was at the Eurovision song contest.

He will also be touring his new live show, Stood Up, around the UK from November (Dates).

Free tickets for The Jack Whitehall Christmas Special, which is being taped from 5pm on Saturday September 28, are available here.

This is the show that celebrated the launch of Nick Helm's album in 2016, and has previously been unseen by anyone who was not in the O2 Forum Kentish Town that night.

With typical hyperbole, the show is described thusly: 'Under-rehearsed, under-prepared and under pressure, Nick and his band somehow managed to pull together the greatest show in the last 27 years of living memory. That show went down as a thing of legend, often spoken about by weary travellers around campfires, but thought to have been lost to the sands of time forever.'
