KATHERINE RYAN has become the first comedian to announce an extra show at Edinburgh – two weeks before the Fringe starts She has put on an extra performance of her Kathbum show at Pleasance Beyond on August 12 after selling out her original 16-night run. Daniel Sloss previously announced 'extra shows' – but they went on sale at the same time as his initial run at the EICC, which still has tickets available, while Alan Davies's stand-up gigs and Daniel Kitson's theatre show Polyphony have also sold out.
COMEDY geeks Festival of the Spoken Nerd are celebrating Pi Approximation Day today, 22/7, by selling their merchandise in multiples of π – for example a download of their show for £3.14 or a T-shirt for £9.42 (£3π). Store.
