The line-up for Radio 4’s new comedy showcase Sketchorama has been revealed.

Edinburgh Comedy Award best newcomer Humphrey Ker will host four episodes this summer, each focussing on three sketch acts from the comedy circuit.

The full line-up is: Lady Garden, Frisky & Mannish, Pappy’s, Max & Ivan, The Boom Jennies, Jigsaw (comprising stand-ups Dan Antopolski, Tom Craine and Nat Luurtsema) improv group The Noise Next Door, Scottish trio How Do I Get Up There?, The Three Englishmen, Delete The Banjax, Idiots Of Ants and The Ginge, The Geordie & The Geek.

Production company The Comedy Unit says the show will be a Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow for sketch performers.

The company says ‘For stand-ups there has always been a plentiful supply of showcase platforms... This brand new format for Radio 4 will offer the same popular showcase dynamic of providing a platform for upcoming talent but purely for comedy sketch groups.

‘ Sketch show troupes are always well represented at the Edinburgh Fringe with over 100 acts performing in 2011, but apart from the live circuit there's never been a show purely for the sketch act genre.’

Sketchorama will be recorded in London and Glasgow soon. and air in the 6.30pm slot on Tuesday from June 26.
