Adam Hills joins the Paralympics

(As a commentator)

Adam Hills has joined Channel 4's commentary team for the Paralympics.

The Australian comic was born without a right foot and wears a prosthetic replacement, which he's often been known to remove during his stand-up shows.

Channel 4 says Hills – who hosted coverage of the 2008 Beijing Paralympics for the ABC down under–  'will bring a combination of experience and quick wit to the peak evening highlights show'.

He will join main presenters Clare Balding and former Paralympic wheelchair basketball medallist Ade Adepitan, as well as a dozen other commentators.

Channel 4 will clear its schedules to air more than 150 hours of coverage over the event's ten days, making it the biggest broadcasting event the broadcaster has ever undertaken in its 30 years.
