Whitehouse and Higson together again

First TV collaboration in ten years

Paul Whitehouse and Charlie Higson have been reunited for their first television collaboration in 10 years.

The Fast Show duo will appear together on Bellamy's People – the BBC Two spin-off from Radio 4’s spoof phone-in Down The Line.

Rhys Thomas revives his character of blandly inept talk show host Gary Bellamy for the series, which is a spoof road series, meeting the people of Britain.

Chortle first revealed the show was being made last year, and it has today been unveiled as part of BBC Two’s winter/spring schedule.

The ensemble cast also includes Lucy Montgomery and Felix Dexter.

The BBC also confirmed that the new schedules also include Alfred Molina and Dawn French’s two-hander comedy Roger & Val Have Just Got In; David Mitchell-hosted quiz show The Bubble, in which three celebrity contestants are locked away in a media-free zone for four days and then have to guess which news stories are true and which are fictional; and the eighth series of Mock The Week.
