Hollywood bids for Borat follow-ip

Hollywood studios have reportedly been involved in an intense bidding war for Sacha Baron Cohen's follow-up to Borat.

His next film is expected to revolve around his creation Bruno, the gay fashionista who sees himself as ‘the voice of Austrian youth TV’.

And after frantic bidding yesterday, the fight to make it was being lead by Universal Pictures, with a $42million (£22 million) offer, according to sources quoted in the Hollywood Reporter.

The fee comes despite Fox’s decision to drastically scale back the launch of the Borat movie next weekend, fearing that not enough people had heard of the bogus Kazakh reporter.
