Win a £500 stand-up course - in Spain

Comedian Sarah Millican is leading a stand-up course in Spain in May – and we have one place, worth £495, to give away.

Although she has been performing for less than two years, Millican has been hailed in most of the leading comedy competitions, being named runner-up in the BBC Comedy Awards, So Yo Think You’re Funny and Funny Women and winning the Amused Moose competition.

The five-night course takes place in a farmhouse just outside La Bisbal near Girona, close to Barcelona, and includes all workshops, accommodation and all meals plus drinks with meals.

Workshops will cover the journey from writer to performer - with equal stress on both - including work on the genesis of ideas, structure, editing and the technical aspects of creating a stand-up set. There will also be performances by anyone willing to try stand-up and readings of material produced during the course.

It takes place from May 9 to 14. Our prize does not include flights or transfers from the airports, however Ryanair offers cheap flights to Girona airport – about a £40 cab ride from the farmhouse - from Stansted, Liverpool, Glasgow, Bournemouth, Dublin, Blackpool and East Midlands airports.

To stand a chance of winning, just answer the following question by April 6, when the winner will be chosen at random from all entries received.

If you are not lucky enough to win, Chortle also has an exclusive offer for all readers. Email chortle@7daywonder.com to book your place, and you’ll pay just £250 – almost half the going rate. For more details of the course, click here to visit the website.

Good luck!
