More tests on Dodd's stalker

Court extends psychiatric order

Ken Dodd's stalker has been ordered to remain in hospital for psychiatric assessment.

Ruth Tagg, 35, of Bedminster, Bristol, was so obesessed with the comic she admitted posting burning rags through his door and sending his partner a dead rat and other abusive mail.

Winchester Crown Court today heard Tagg described as having a major mental illness and complex personality disorder.

Mr Justice Michael Morland extended an interim hospital order on her until 26 August.

Tagg pleaded guilty to arson and harassment at Preston Crown Court in March, pleading guilty to bombarding Dodd with letters, cards and indecent photographs, all of which were opened by his long-term partner Anne Jones.
