Yashere to host chat show

Gina Yashere has landed a stint as a chat-show host.

The stand-up is to present BBC Choice's new nightly comedy and talk show Up Late With... for its first two weeks.

Sketches, audience participation and topical comedy will feature in the late-night show, which will be fronted by a different host every fortnight.

The show will be taped 'as live' at 6.45pm on the night of transmission to keep it up-to-date, and a compilation show will be screened on Friday nights.

Gina is now seeking people to make up the studio audience for her opening two weeks.

The show is recorded at TV Centre in White City, west London, on June 26 and July 2 to 5 and 9 to 12.

Go to the BBC ticket unit home page to apply or email uplatetickets@bbc.co.uk.

Producers are also looking for a Gina lookalike for one of the shows. Email Anna Abenson if you fit the bill.

LA PRINCESA DE WOKING

Emma Sidi has taken great care to replicate the authentic feel of 1980s Spanish-language telenovelas in this spot-on parody, set in contemporary small-town England and which she describes as 'a bit Acorn Antiques, bit Garth Marenghi'.

At her mother's untimely funeral, Becky Hello (a typical British millennial as imagined by Mexican writers who have never been to the UK) discovers she has inherited a fortune. But it isn't long before nefarious family members begin to circle, and Becky must keep her wits about her if she is to avoid the same fate as her mother.
