Here are clips from all the up-and-coming comics who have taken part in the semi-finals of this year’s Chortle Student Comedy Award so far.

Through to the final so far are:

• Jack Dearnley, a 21-year-old studying comedy writing and performance degree at  Salford University
• Charlie Humphrey, also 21, studying for a masters in Biomedical Sciences at Warwick University
• Stepan Mysko von Schultze, 22, studying for a masters in English literature at Oxford
• Caitriona Dowden, a 22-year-old studying for a masters in medieval studies , also at Oxford
• Henry Whaley, a 21-year-old studying for a masters at the Courtauld Institute of Art

They will now go through to the final at the Edinburgh Fringe in August – as well as playing the comedy arena at the Latitude Festival in Suffolk on July 21-24.

The ultimate winner will receive a trip to Australia to perform stand-up there, thanks to the generous support of the Comedy Lounge in Perth.

We are now reviewing the videos of all the acts from the semi-finals to choose five wildcards who will be selected to go through to the final.
