C4 show to promote tourism

John Tothill and Fatiha El-Ghorri have taped a travel series around Scotland for Channel 4’s digital platforms.

The show – Where To Next? – is a commercial tie-up with the VisitScotland tourist board and has the comedians competing in a series of challenges as they travel from Glasgow to Dumfries & Galloway.

It goes live on Channel 4’s YouTube on January 6 alongside four short-form videos for Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.

It follows similar series made with Tourism Ireland which feautured It Babatunde Aléshé, Finlay Christie  Suzi Ruffell and Seán Burke

Thomas Pullen, digital commissioning Executive at Channel 4 said: 'It’s been a pleasure to commission this film with Fatiha and John bringing their contagious humour and fresh perspectives to an action-packed travel show. Where to Next? is filled with warm, authentic and funny interactions, not to mention stunning scenery.’

And Emma Hopkins from the broadcaster’s Partner Labs unit, which develops commercial deals, said: ‘This branded entertainment series is good for the soul. Authenticity and personal recommendations are super-sought-after at the minute. We feel this type of digital content is the ideal way to meet audience desire as the comedians speak with locals about their experiences and insights.’
