Dan Tiernan was nominated for best newcomer at the 2022 Chortle Awards, a year after he was named breakthrough act at the North West Comedy Awards. With a set based on being a gay, dyspraxic Mancunian who works in a care home for young asylum seekers, he has previously made the finals of the new act competitions run by the Leicester and Bath comedy festivals, and London’s Leicester Square Theatre.
