Weekend Update with Colin Jost and Michael Che

The situation in Israel and Gaza is hard to joke about – but Saturday Night Live found some angles to mock last night.

On the Weekend Update section, Colin Jost stared by mocking Joe Biden’s warnings to those thinking of  attacking Israel – playing out a video of him repeatedly saying: ‘Don’t.’

‘I really like that Biden only needs one word to get his point across,’ Jost said. ‘He’s basically the Groot of presidents.’

He added: To give you an idea how effective "Don’t" is, it’s the same thing Biden says to his dog right before it bites another Secret Service agent.’

And things got grimmer when he spoke about Bide’s comment that the Hamas attack ‘was like fifteen 9/11s.’

In the rest of the segment he and co-host Michael Che mocked stories including Netflix’s plan to open brick-and-mortar stores, Donald Trump’s courtroom appearances, and the Australian who punched a kangaroo.
