...with his new song Play It Safe

Tim Minchin has released as new satirical clip to celebrate Sydney Opera House's 50th anniversary.

Play It Safe is an call in praise of creative risks and not fit in with the crowd, and includes audio clips of commentators criticising the iconic building as being a ‘waste of taxpayers’ money’ when it was created.

Ironic  lyrics include: ‘People like the rules as written, so just give them more of the same’ and ‘If you want to go the distance, find the path of least resistance and just take it’ 

The video also features the like of Jimmy Barnes,  Courtney Act the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, The Australian Ballet and Ziggy Ramo as well as archive footage.
