Rick and Morty season 7 trailer

With new actors in the lead roles

The trailer has dropped for the seventh season of Rick and Morty – featuring the new voice actors playing the lead roles.

Co-creator Justin Roiland was dropped by  Adult Swim, after he was charged with domestic violence, which he denied.

However, the producers have decided to  keep the names of both of the new actors secret until the show airs in the US on October 15.

'We want the show to speak for itself,' an Adult Swim insider told The Hollywood Reporter. 'We believe in the strength of the season and our new voices and we want to preserve the viewing experience for fans.'

Online, most seemed happy that the voices were similar to what had gone before.

Charges against Roiland  were dismissed in March after the District Attorney’s office announced that there was 'insufficient evidence to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt'.

Roiland said on social media: 'I have always known that these claims were false – and I never had any doubt that this day would come. I’m thankful that this case has been dismissed but, at the same time, I’m still deeply shaken by the horrible lies that were reported about me during this process.'
