Trailer for the return of Futurama

First new episodes in a decade

Hulu has dropped a trailer for the first new  Futurama episodes in a decade.

Ten new episodes will be released on the US streaming services weekly from  July 24.

This 11th season is the first batch of 20 episodes ordered by Hulu last year. It's not known when the other 10 will drop.

The platform says: 'After a brief ten-year hiatus, Futurama has crawled triumphantly from the cryogenic tube, its full original cast and satirical spirit intact.

'The ten all-new episodes of season eleven have something for everyone. New viewers will be able to pick up the series from here, while long-time fans will recognise payoffs to decades-long mysteries – including developments in the epic love story of Fry and Leela, the mysterious contents of Nibbler’s litter box, the secret history of evil Robot Santa, and the whereabouts of Kif and Amy’s tadpoles.

'Meanwhile there’s a whole new pandemic in town as the crew explores the future of vaccines, bitcoin, cancel culture, and streaming TV.'

There is no news yet on any UK broadcasts, although old episodes are currently airing on Sky Comedy.

The series, created by Simpsons creator Matt Groening,  originally ran on Fox from 1999 to 2003 and then was revived by Comedy Central from 2010 to 2013.

The voice cast  includes Billy West, Katey Sagal, John DiMaggio and Tress MacNeille
