Trailer for Sue Perkins: Perfectly Legal

Coming to Netflix next month

Netflix has released the trailer for Sue Perkins's new travelogue series, Perfectly Legal, in which she visits South and Central America.

First announced in 2020, the series was filmed in  Colombia, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil, and features the former Bake Off host experiencing  ‘some of the most bizarre, unusual and shocking activities that are somehow perfectly legal in those countries.

In the trailer, Perkins is seen white-water rafting, clubbing, smashing a TV, hang-gliding and floating in a lake in a cave.

The comic says: ‘You see it's all very well saying you feel boxed in by rules and conventions. How you feel stale. How you want to learn to be free again. To have an adventure, let your guard down, do things you never would do - never could do - at home. Things that wouldn't even be legal to do at home.

‘Of course you say that you want to drink all day, stay out all night, take drugs, dance, swim, run, fly, float, be free… but then you find yourself stood in a warehouse in the back streets of Bogota…’

The series is the first Netflix commission from UK production company Rumpus Media, which previously made The Misadventures Of Romesh Ranganathan.

Sue Perkins: Perfectly Legal will be released on the streaming service on October 13.
