John Kearns on a terrible gig

Recorded at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival

John Kearns has appeared on Australian TV to speak about one of his worst ever gigs.

In his stand-up routine at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Edinburgh Comedy Award-winner spoke of the dreadful reception he received when he appeared in front of 800 people – which he describes as  'a booking error'. And he ended up performing to such silence that he could hear someone opening a can of beer up in the balcony.

The set was recorded for the Comedy Up Late show at the Festival Club, and aired on the ABC.
